Clive Arden Pope

Clive Arden Pope Jr. passed into the next life in his Gooding, Idaho home on June 20, 2018.  Clive was born in Lewiston Utah on March 21, 1930.   His parents were Clive Arden Pope Sr. and Sylva Harrison Pope.  He lived as a young child in Garden City, Utah.  At 8 years of age he moved with his family to the BQ ranch in Wyoming and attended school in Cokeville, Wyoming.  After high school he attended the University of Wyoming, served a church mission to the North Western States, served two years in the Army, and then attended and graduated from Utah State University.  He married Vivian Harper in the Logan Temple, on December 27, 1954.

In 1961 Clive, Vivian, and their growing family moved to a farm in Gooding, Idaho where they raised their children including: Arden, ViAnn, Cole, Donna, Clark, Gail, Verl, and Ryle.

Clive and Vivian loved the community of Gooding and their neighbors and friends.  Clive was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served the Church in many capacities.  Clive and Vivian served a Church mission in 2002.  Clive loved his family and his life.

Funeral services will be held at the LDS Church on 1228 South Main St. Gooding, ID at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 30, 2018.  A viewing will be held at the Demaray Funeral Home on 737 Main St., Gooding ID, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday, June 29 and at 10:00 am June 30 at the LDS Church prior to the Funeral service. 

Vivian and children are so grateful to extended family, neighbors, friends, health care providers, the Gooding community, and others for their love and kindness.
