Gregorio was a farmer and spent his days cultivating the fields and planting crops.  Family and the Lord remained his number one priority.  When he wasn’t working, he was hunting or fishing providing for his wife and children.

Gregorio was offered an opportunity to come and work in the United States – Paul, Idaho was his destination.  He worked in agriculture as a laborer, long days and hard work in the sun.

A few years passed and Gregorio returned to Mexico to tell of his adventures in this new land and all the opportunities to be had.  The land of opportunity called and along came the Gonzalez family.

Gregorio returned to the U.S. this time his destination was Washington State.  He was joined by his oldest son and eventually a few daughters.  They worked in the orchards, harvesting apples, cherries and what ever else was in season.  They had many adventures together, following the harvest seasons.  The family eventually returned to Idaho.

In 1979 the Gonzalez’s settled in Wendell, Idaho.  The family continued to grow.  Now the kids were grown and married and Gregorio’s grandchildren were his pride and joy.  He spent every moment he could teaching and spoiling his grandchildren.  Trips to Jackpot were his favorite.  He was a very social man, offering help to others every chance he could.  He enjoyed playing pranks and joking around.

Gregorio never faced a challenge with out the Lord by his side.  His faith remained strong until the very end.  This legacy will live on in all his family.

Gregorio is survived by: his wife, Margarita Juarez de Gonzalez; his daughters, Consuelo Gonzalez de Gonzalez, Gloria Gonzalez de Lara, Maria Elena Geiger, Olga Gonzalez, Leticia Jimenez and Silva Orozco; his sons, Ramon Gonzalez, Pablo Gonzalez and Gregorio Gonzalez, Jr.; and many grand and great grandchildren.
