Charles Isaac “Ike” McLaughlin
Ike McLaughlin, 70, a resident of Silver Springs, Nevada passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at his home.
Ike was born on August 13, 1949 in Wendell, Idaho and attended school in Gooding. He joined the Army on December 28, 1966 and finished his time of service on December 28, 1969. While in the Army, Ike spent one year in Vietnam where he earned the Purple Heart.
Ike always lived his life with one thing in mind, which was to love and laugh to the fullest of his heart and to spread love everywhere he went – to every person he met.
Ike was preceded in death by: his parents – George and Betty McLaughlin; and his older sister – Carol Toles.
He is survived by: two sons – Ike (Cheryl) McLaughlin II of Texas, and Zjohn (Melinda) McLaughlin of Eagle; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; his older brother – George (Linda) McLaughlin. Jr. of Gooding; four younger sisters – Donna (Jim) Fankboner of Caldwell, Ruth (Raven) Fallin of North Dakota, Joy (Tony) Stokes of Caldwell and Virginia (Andy) McLaughlin of Gooding; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 10:30 am at the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
