James Richard Westfall, 30, a resident of Wendell, died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at his home in Wendell.
James was born on August 11, 1987 in Fairbanks, Alaska to Virginia and Keith Crummitt. He was the fourth of five children – older sister, Emily, brothers Joseph, Ross and younger brother, Jonathan. He was adopted by his uncle and aunt, Richard and Betty Westfall at the age of four. He spent most of his adult life in Oregon living close to his sister, Emily Marconi and her family. He recently came to Idaho to live with his biological mother, Virginia and brother, Joseph.
He had many talents. He taught himself carpentry, electrical, horticulture and fixing and building computers. He was also gifted in science and math. James was a loving and forgiving person who was a joy to his family and those who knew him. He was limited only by his Aspergers-Autism which was a challenge that he worked hard to overcome.
James is survived by: his sister, Emily Alice (Antonio) Marconi of The Dalles, Oregon; brothers, Joseph Steven Davis of Wendell, Ross Achenfelter of Albany, Oregon and Jonathon William Westfall of Lebanon, Oregon; parents, Betty and Richard James Westfall of Lebanon, Oregon; Keith Alfred Crummitt of Palmer, Alaska and Virginia Westfall of Wendell; and grandparents, Alfred and Joan Crummitt of Weiser.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James H. Westfall; grandmother, India Clarrisa Westfall; aunt Afton L. Diemart and uncle, Roy C. Diemart.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Wendell L.D.S. Church in Wendell. Services will conclude at the church.
Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Wendell Chapel.
