Jean Peterson Seamons
Jean Peterson Seamons, 85, a resident of Gooding, passed away peacefully after an extended illness on October 8, 2011 at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.  She was born October 2, 1926 to Leo James Peterson and Lillian Chloe Clayton in Preston, Idaho.
Jean married the love of her live Melvin Jepsen (Jay) Seamons on December 21, 1943 at the Logan Utah Temple; they were married for 67 years and were lifelong members of the LDS Church.

She is survived by her husband Jay and 5 children; Melvin Wayne (Kena) of West Jordan Utah; Garth Jay (Dianna) of Rexburg, Idaho; Marla Jean (Lyle P. Sam); Cheryl Ann Palmer Fritz; and Blaine Clay (Sherrie) all of Battle Mountain, Nevada; 24 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; 4 sisters; 2 grandchildren, Melonie Danese Onley and Glenn Jay Palmer; 1 granddaughter-in-law, Laura Seamons; 2 daughters-in-law, Jeannine Seamons and Julie Seamons-Facer.
