Kathy Lynn Schummer

     Kathy Lynn Schummer, age 61, of Gooding, Idaho, passed away on November 7, 2019 at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Twin Falls, Idaho with family by her side. 

     She was born on September 27, 1958 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles and Barbara (Vogel) Anderson. 

     Kathy was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.  She treasured her husband and children and embraced every moment with them.  She had a vibrant personality, always made people around her laugh and made friends everywhere she went.  She enjoyed arts and crafts, volunteering and was an avid music lover. 

     Her love and devotion will be missed by her husband of over 40 years, Larry; three daughters and sons-in-law, Amber and Matt Slocum of Boise, Idaho, Morgan and Travis Nelson of Seguin, Texas and Whitney and Chris Downs of Caldwell, Idaho; Brant Kelley of Gooding, Idaho; grandchildren, Laramie Schummer, Zach Slocum, Victor Slocum, Ryleigh Slocum, Dominic Slocum, Dexter Downs and Isabella Nelson; great grandchildren, Oakley Schummer and Royal Slocum; sisters, Jodie Anderson (Everett Lamczyk) of Richview, Illinois and Michele (Bob) Vaughn of Centralia, Illinois and brothers, Brian (Christine) Anderson of Grove, Oklahoma and Wayne Anderson of Salt Lake City, Utah.

     She was preceded in death by her son, Chance Schummer; her parents, Charles and Barbara (Vogel) Anderson; brother, Robert Anderson and sisters, Sharri (Anderson) Blacker and Rebecca Anderson.

     The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days especially the staff at St. Luke’s Medical Center. 

     No funeral service will be held at this time.

     Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
