Ronald Chester Ewing

Ronald Chester Ewing, 83, a resident of Gooding, passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at his home in Gooding.

Ronald was born on May 17, 1934 in Buhl, Idaho, the son of Chester and Delsie Ewing.  He was raised and educated in Buhl.

He married Janice Rose Driesel on July 14, 1952 in Buhl.  Ronald was a master mechanic for most of his life and owned his own service station.  He also operated Ron’s Towing for several years.

Ron was involved in the Sherriff’s Posse; was an E.M.T.; and was a school bus inspector for over 10 years.  He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gooding.

Ron was loved by all who knew him.  He was a real loving person to everyone that he met over the years.  We will really miss him!

Ron is survived by: three sons, Ronald Lynn (Nancy) Ewing of Gooding, Randy (Marsha) Ewing of Denver, Colorado and Scott (Christina) Ewing of Winston, Oregon; two daughters, Catherine (Ron) Price of Payette and Mary (Bill) Dayley of Gooding; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Janice Ewing; his parents; one son, Shelby; one daughter, Sharna; his brother, Gaylord Ewing; and grandson, Charles Ritter.

A viewing will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 11:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gooding.  A visitation will be held from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at the church.

Interment will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding.
