Tanner Bussen Obituary

Tanner Ray Bussen

11/11/1979 - 8/24/2019

Loving father, son and brother passed away at his home all too early. Growing up Tanner went to school in Sharon Springs, Kansas and Shoshone, Idaho where he made many friends; Tanner did not know a stranger for very long.  He was extremely passionate and worked for many years as a heavy equipment mechanic.  Tanner loved big tire pickups, mud bogging and anything and everything mechanical.  His mother fondly reflects that he could fix anything with a motor.  He had a love for racing where he was very successful.  Tanner won many trophies as well as the respect of his peers in the racing community.

The pride and joy of Tanner’s life was his daughter, Dakota, who was born August 2, 2006.  Whom he lovingly called ostrich or giraffe because of her long skinny legs.  Tanner’s bright blue eyes always had a sparkle when his daughter was in the room.  He was quick to tell you how smart she is and all of her talents.

Tanner was also quick with a smart aleck comment or to tease you with a loving smile that was always followed by “You know I am just joking but I have to give you a hard time.”  His personality was one that was filled with energy, love and mischief.  He will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his brother - Tyler.

He leaves behind his daughter: Dakota Bussen;  parents - Tracey and Merv May, Darius Bussen, Ron and Candace Rogge; siblings - Jacoby (Randy) Sneddon, Waylon (Willow) May, Kade (Jasmyn) Rogge, and Newton Rogge; nieces and nephews - Kaylie (Christopher) Endres, Kynlei Sneddon, Mac and Maci May, Rory and Rix Rogge and Great Nephew Bexton Endres and Baby E; grandparents - Gloria Parker, Robert Warner, Rusty and Ann Parker; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial gathering celebrating Tanner's life will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm at the Gooding East Park on 4th Ave. East in Gooding.  Please bring your favorite memory of Tanner along with your lawn chair.
