Valentin Maurilio Tobias, Sr.

     Valentin Maurilio Tobias, Sr., 22, a resident of Wendell, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at his home in Wendell.

     Valentin was born on September 29, 1996 in Edinburg, Texas.  He was raised and educated in Wendell, Idaho.  Valentin loved being outdoors, he was always fixing something.  Some of his favorite hobbies were playing football, fishing, BBQ’ing, swimming, singing, dancing and playing with his son and little sister.

     He married his significant other – Brittany Huff on September 20, 2016 in Wendell.

     Valentin is survived by: his parents – Cristina and Richard Hurtado; his wife – Brittany Huff; his son – Valentin Maurilio Tobias, Jr.; his daughter yet to be born – Valany Melina Tobias; three brothers – Fidel Espino, Angel Espino and Andrew Hurtado; and three sisters – Dalaissa Hurtado, Iesha Tobias and Janell Hurtado; his grandmothers - Margarita Tobias, Guadalupe Hurtado and Carmen Espino; his grandfathers - Jesus Hurtado and Isaias Espino; and lots of aunts, uncles, cousins - too many to count.  He was loved by everyone of us.

     He was preceded in death by his grandfather – Maurilio Tobias, Sr.; his great grandfather – Daniel Garza and great grandmother – Senovia Garza; and two uncles – Pascual Espino and Cecilio Gaucin.

     A viewing for family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Demaray Funeral Service – Wendell Chapel.  A rosary/vigil service will follow at 7:00 pm.

     A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 11:00 am at Demaray Funeral Service – Wendell Chapel.  Services will conclude at the chapel.

     Funeral and cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service - Wendell Chapel.
