In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Mother, Alicia

     Alicia Leija, 74, passed away peacefully at her home on November 7, 2025.

     On March 4, 1951, Alicia was born to Martimiana and Guillermo Quintero. She later married the love of her life on June 22, 1968 and shortly after began their family and journey in life together. In 1970 they relocated to Idaho where they began building a beautiful family of nine children and lived a full life of farming.

     Alicia loved her family deeply and devoted her life to caring for them. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting, and taking trips to see new places. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the comforting smell of something delicious on the stove.

     She is preceded in death by her husband, Marcial, and parents Guillermo and Martimiana.

     Alicia is survived by her nine loving children: Domitilo Leija, Arnulfo Leija (Shannon) and their children Joshua and Christian, Esperanza Leija, Hermelinda Leija, Merardo Leija (Katrina) and their grandkids Aero and Ollie, Magdalena Weimer (Dan), Mary Freeman (Conrad) and their son Dustin, Jesus Leija and Fransisca Leija.

     She will be remembered for her gentle heart, her strength, and the endless love she shared with those around her. Alicia’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to be part of her life.

     A viewing will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Gooding with a Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm.

     A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church.

     Burial will be in the Hagerman Cemetery in Hagerman.

     Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
