Anita Mae (Smith) Winningham

     Anita M. Winningham, 91, a resident of Twin Falls, passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at Bridgeview Estates Assisted Living in Twin Falls.

     Anita was born on November 7, 1934 in Gooding, Idaho, the daughter of Aaron and Virginia Smith.  She was raised and educated in Shoshone.

     She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Twin Falls.

     Anita is survived by: one son - Jerry L. Jones; one granddaughter - Megan C. Jones; three great-grandsons - Daniel, Nathan and Brayden; three brothers - Gene Smith, Larry Smith and Kenny Smith; one sister - Carolyn Steele; and many nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by: one daughter - Anthia M. Swanson; two sisters - Jeannette Whittekiend and Marilyn Jones; a brother – Gerry Smith; and one grandson - Jeremy N. Swanson.

     A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Shoshone, Idaho.  Burial will follow at the Shoshone Cemetery.

     Funeral services are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Shoshone Chapel.
