Betty Jo (Thomas) Sage, 90, a resident of Shoshone, went to meet her Lord on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at her home in Shoshone.
Betty was born on May 10, 1934 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the daughter of S.W. Thomas and Bernice Thomas.
Betty met the love of her life in 1950 – Bobby Joe Sage, they were married in 1951and were married for 49 years before his passing. They had six children together.
Betty was a C.N.A. for 18 years – starting as a nurse’s aide in Shaffer, California, she also worked in a flower nursery. Betty later received her C.N.A. while working in Shoshone, and also worked in Blaine County as a C.N.A. She also worked cleaning houses for a living.
She is survived by her children: daughter – Gale Glen of Shoshone; son – Bobby Sage, Jr. of Florida; daughter – Candace Robbins of Twin Falls; and daughter – Mary Ann Parkhurst of Princeton, Idaho; 19 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents – S.W. and Bernice Thomas; her four siblings – Marvin, Jim, Linda and Clydie; her husband – Bobby Joe Sage; her daughter – Lorraine Shaw; her son – Jim Sage; and a grandson – Robbie Parkhurst.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the chapel.
A private family graveside service will follow at the Shoshone Cemetery.
