Bobby "Bob" Esterbrook Obituary

     Bobby Ray Esterbrook passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Monday July 29, 2024 at the age of 89.

     Bob was born in Livingston, Montana on May 22, 1935 to Weldon and Mildred Esterbrook, the oldest of four children. He attended Gooding schools and graduated in 1955. He married his high school sweetheart Lillian (Nin) Russell, the love of his life, at the First Christian Church: of their union two children were born Jana Janell and Scott Robert.

     Bob loved the farming life and farmed North of Gooding, till he retired in 2014. He was a big supporter of 4H and FFA. He served 18 years on the Board of Directors on Big Wood Canal Company. Member of the Grange and was nominated “Farmer of the Year.” Bob enjoyed anything outdoors including fishing, snowmobiling, and water sports. His favorite was dancing, if there was a dance floor, you could not keep him off it. He was a member of the Gooding Dance Club, Country Club and Pinochle Club.

     Bob was an amazing father, grandfather, uncle, and brother. He was loved by the community. He will be greatly missed.

     Bob is survived by his two children - Jana Peyton (Frank Macaluso) and Scott; two sisters - Catherine (Bill) Hammons and Glenda Adams; one brother – Duane (Bev) Esterbrook; three grandchildren - Taner (Jenny) Esterbrook, Jacob Peyton, and McKenzie (Joe) Hansen; nine great grandchildren - Eli, Mya, Nora, Cotton, Sam, Chole, Lucy, Sophia and Jacob; and his close friend - Carol Sobotkac.

     He is preceded in death by his wife – Nin; and his parents.

     Funeral services will be held on Monday August 5, 2024 at 11:00 am at First Christian Church in Gooding. Services will conclude at the church.

     A private family inurnment will take place on a later date at the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding.

     Funeral and cremation arrangements are under the care of Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
