Carol Rose Kitt passed away in Twin Falls on Saturday August 3rd, 2024 at the age of 76.
Carol was born in Havre, MT on January 8th 1948 to Elmer and Erma Casady, the second of four children. She graduated Havre High School in 1966 and was married June 11th of that year to the love of her life, Robert Kitt, at the 6th Avenue Christian Church in Havre. Of this union, 3 Children were born: Kami, Brent and Brian. Robert and Carol moved to Rupert, ID around 1975 and made it their home for many years before moving to Paul, then Burley and eventually Gooding.
Carol had a never-ending supply of love, kindness and compassion for those around her. Her greatest love on earth was family and children. Even some of her children's friends called her Mom. After she raised her own children, she and Robert would go on to be foster parents for over 60 children. One of those fosters, Skylar, would become their son and another, Casady, was adopted by Kami to become one of their six grandchildren
Carol loved art, music and being creative and enjoyed sharing those things with friends and children. She was active with the youth in church, including VBS and Church Camp, Christmas plays and school.
Carol attended the Rupert First Christian Church for many years and later the Kimberly Christian church. Her love of God was ever present in her life and in her emulation of His love for all. She always found a smile, a hug or kind words to share with others, even in the most difficult times.
Carol worked outside the home, while raising her children, including working at Round Table Pizza, in the Circulation Dept. at the South Idaho Press, and as a Librarian at Paul Elementary School.
Carol is survived by her husband; four children; six grandchildren, Colton, Mikayla, Kade, Zane, Avery and Casady Rose; two sisters, Deanna (Richard) Lervold and Tami; her brother Joseph (Karla); four Nephews, Scott, Donald, Jimmy and Doug; and two nieces Tina (Dwaine) Omyer and Shayla.
Carol was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by her family, her friends and the community.
