Carolyn Marie (Strout) Boyd

     Carolyn Marie Boyd, 81, of Gooding, Idaho, passed away in Gooding, Idaho.

     She was born in Gooding and spent much of her life there, while also living in Pocatello, Idaho, Cheyenne, Wyoming, and other places along the way as her ex-husband worked on the railroad.

     Carolyn was a devoted mother of three and dedicated her life to caring for others. She attended Laramie County Community College and built a career spanning over 50 years in roles centered around helping people. Carolyn also had a deep love for music and enjoyed playing the piano. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ, and her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. Her compassion and strength made her someone others could always rely on in times of need.

     She was an avid traveler who found joy in road trips and cruises, always ready for her next adventure. Carolyn’s home was a gathering place for family as she created a sense of comfort, stability, and belonging for those around her. She will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, and the steady presence she provided too so many.

     Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents - Edward Strout and Robie Strout; her brothers - Kelvin Strout, Leroy Strout, and Karl Strout; her sons - Rusty Boyd and Jamie Boyd; her son-in-law - Travis Kulhanek; her daughter-in-law - Kris Boyd; and her great-granddaughter - Willow Edwards.

     She is survived by her children - Scott Boyd, Heidi Boyd, and Taci Kulhanek; her brother - Keith Strout; her sister - Delores White; her grandchildren - Josh Kulhanek, Keri Kulhanek, Kody Boyd-Knowlton, Shawnee Boyd-Knowlton, Tyler Barnett, and Mitchell Barnett; her great-grandchildren - Parker Edwards and Aaro Edwards; as well as many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.

     Carolyn’s legacy lives on through the impact of her work and the family she held together.

     A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding.

     A viewing will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.

     A potluck dinner will follow after the service at the Gooding Senior Center, 308 Senior Avenue, Gooding, Idaho.

     Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service - Gooding Chapel.
