Donna M. (Jackson) Hathaway

     Donna Mae Hathaway, 91, of Pocatello and formally of Gooding, Idaho passed away in Pocatello on May 10, 2024

     Donna was born in Shelley Idaho on January 23, 1933, to Lida Odetta Madsen, and Delbert Maynard Jackson both of Shelley, Idaho. Her family later moved to Jerome Idaho where she graduated from Jerome High School in 1951. Donna worked in the grocery business for 30 years. She began her career at Associated Foods and retired from Safeway’s grocery store as the assistant manager. After retirement, Donna decided to attend the College of Southern Idaho where she earned her Associates Degree in bookkeeping 1990.  After graduating from C.S.I. she took a position at a bank where she did accounts receivable for a few years. Donna married the love of her life, Cecil “Pete” Hathaway of St. John Stafford, Kansas in 1951. They were the proud parents of three daughters - Debbie, Kathy, and Crystal.

     Donna is survived by: her daughters - Debbie (Harley) Bergendorf of Pocatello and Crystal (Smitty) Smith of Challis, as well as eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and two sisters - Darlene Woodhead of Logon, Utah, and Beverly (Ron) Adamson of Gooding, Idaho.

     Donna is preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, her husband - Cecil “Pete” Hathaway and her daughter - Kathrine Lynn Hathaway Henke.

     Viewing and funeral services for Donna will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1228 Main St. Gooding, Idaho – viewing starting at 10:00 am, funeral service at 11:00 am.

     Burial will follow at the Wendell Cemetery, 37 Nampa St. Wendell, Idaho.

     Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
