Dorien (Green) Hopwood

     It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Dorien Hopwood, who left us peacefully on July 25, 2025 at the age of 87 at Ashley Manor in Twin Falls.

     She was born in Hagerman, Idaho on July 3, 1938 to Leo Earl “Dutch” Green and Amanda Jolley Green. Later she was raised and educated in Buhl, Idaho.

     Dorien then married Allen Lee Hopwood on August 5, 1956.

     She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and love and laughter touched all who knew her.  Dorien will be remembered for her warmth, strength, and the countless memories she created with her family and friends. Her legacy of love will live on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

     She is survived by: her son - Kevin Hopwood of Murfreesboro, TN; daughters – Aleana Mitma of Gooding, ID, Terry (Steve) Zygaj of Bellevue, ID; her sister - Thressia Yvonne Green of Twin Falls, ID; and her grandchildren - Maggie, Wesley, Caleb, Tamzy, Misty, Brandie, Daniell, Michael, Lācia, Bronco, David, Misty, and Holly; and her numerous nieces and nephews.

     Dorien is preceded in death by: her husband - Allen Hopwood; son - Rodney Hopwood; son-in-law – Lucio; and her daughter-in law - Marci.

     No local services are scheduled.

     Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service - Gooding Chapel.
