Farrell "Dean" Jensen

     Farrell “Dean” Jensen, 78, of Buhl, Idaho, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025, after a courageous battle that he faced with strength and dignity.

     Dean was born on March 26, 1947, in Wendell, Idaho. On August 2, 1968, he married the love of his life, Etta Louise Jensen. Together they built a beautiful life and shared 57 years of marriage filled with devotion, resilience, and family.

     Dean was known by many as a “gentleman giant”—a man of strong presence, with a stern way about him, but a heart that overflowed with kindness and generosity. He was a big man with a huge heart, whose steady presence and quiet lessons left an imprint on all who knew him.

     A businessman at heart, Dean wore many hats over the years. He built houses, owned and operated a convenience store in Bend, Oregon, and pursued a variety of careers that showcased his determination and work ethic. Through these ventures, he met countless customers who became lifelong friends. A man of many talents, Dean always had a knack for tinkering, fixing, and creating, and he took pride in working hard with his hands.

     He often called himself a “jack of all trades and master of none.” While that may have been true in some aspects of his life, it could not be further from the truth when it came to the love, he showed his family and those closest to him. That was a skill he mastered with no effort at all.

     Dean is survived by his loving wife, Etta; his children, Floyd Adam, Rita (John) Amodeo, and Deana Tookey; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren who brought him endless joy.

     While his passing leaves an ache in many hearts, there is comfort in knowing he is now at peace, reunited in heaven with his son, Jerred Dean Jensen, after 30 long years.

     Per Dean’s wishes, there will be no formal service. His life will be honored through the memories, stories, and love he left behind.

     Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
