Gus Miller Obituary

     Gus E. Miller, 71, of Gooding, passed away of congestive heart failure on April 14, 2021 at his home north of Gooding, where he has lived for the past 44 years.

     Gus and his twin brother Gail were born in Wendell, Idaho on June 24, 1949.

     He served in the Army from 1969 to 1971 in Germany.  After which he took an early out, returning to Gooding where he worked for the Yore Cattle Company.

     He married Diane Johnstone in Bonners Ferry, Idaho on April 20, 1974.  They lived for a short time in Wendell, then moved north of Gooding.  It was here they raised their two daughters – Marie and Bobbie Jo.

    He ran Gus Super Service on Main Street in Gooding for many years, before building a new shop in 2001 at 221 4th Ave. East in Gooding which he ran until 2016. 

     Gus enjoyed camping and riding the Razor in the Pine, Featherville and Trinity Lakes area.  He spent his other free time working on antique tractors.

     He is survived by: his wife, Diane Miller; his daughter, Marie (Ryan) Barnes; two grandchildren, Elsie and Colten Barnes; his brothers, Everett (Carol) Miller, Gary (Teresa) Miller; and two sisters, Nancy (Nick) Nieder and Judy (Lyle) Gessford; and several nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by his daughter, Bobbie Jo Miller; and his twin brother, Gail Miller.

     A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Gooding First Christian Church.  Inurnment will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding.
