Harvey Lee Brauburger

Harvey Lee Brauburger, 67, a resident of Richfield, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023 at The Cove of Cascadia in Bellevue.

Harvey was born February 25, 1956 to Cleo and Maxine Brauburger.  He grew up in Richfield and attended and graduated from Richfield High School.  After high school, Harvey attended heavy equipment operator school in Weiser, Idaho.

On February 12, 1977 Harvey married the love of his life, Connie Maria Brown.  They raised their five children on their farm in Richfield.  Harvey farmed alongside other jobs that he held throughout his life.

Harvey served on the Board of Directors for the American Falls District from 1986-2011, when he became employed by the Big Wood Canal Company.  During his service and employment, Harvey developed many long-lasting friendships with fellow board members, coworkers and patrons.  Harvey retired from the canal company in early 2021 but soon developed health related issues that affected his mobility and contributed until his passing.

Harvey appreciated the outdoors.  He had a love for hunting, fishing, archery, camping and riding horses.  Harvey was a proud husband, father and grandfather.  He loved getting together with his family and watching his grandchildren play sports.

Harvey loved his family and was deeply loved by them.  The family is comforted by the knowledge that he is at peace after his long battle with health issues.

Harvey is preceded in death by his parents - Cleo and Maxine Brauburger and his grandson - Adler Brauburger.

He is survived by his wife - Connie Brauburger; his children - Jason (Heather) Brauburger, Josey (Lauri) Brauburger, Jennifer (Levi) Long, Jandi (Luke) Platz, Jacob (Courtney) Brauburger; his grandchildren - Adyson Perkes, Jase Long, Carsn Perkes, Madalyn Long, Abygayl Brauburger, Elijah Brauburger, Gavin Long, Madden Perkes, Remington Brauburger, Liam Long, Josslyn Long, Jakklyn Long; and his siblings - Brian Brauburger, Brenda (Doyle) Haney, Corey Brauburger and Debbie (Bernabe) Marquez.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Cove of Cascadia for the excellent care, love and compassion that they showed Harvey and his family during his time there.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Richfield Cemetery in Richfield.
