Helen (Rounsavell) Berry

     Grace “Helen” Berry, 96, went to be with the Lord on January 21, 2021, joining her husband -Warren E. Berry, son - Bryan Berry, daughter - JoAnn Lawrason and daughter-in-law - Vickie Berry.

     Helen was born March 10, 1924 to Joe W. Rounsavell from Missouri and Carrie L. Roop Rounsavell from W. Virginia in Wallowa Oregon, being the third of six children. She graduated from Wallowa High School in 1942 and from college in 1948.

     Helen met Warren Berry in 1947 and they were married on September 11, 1948. Bryan joined the family in 1950 and JoAnn in 1952. The family moved to Idaho where Warren worked for Idaho Power and Helen taught school for many years.

     They were members of the Methodist Church where Helen played the organ and was a member of the bell choir.

     Helen is survived by: her siblings - Barbara Lamoreaux & James Rounsavell; her son-in-law -Stephen Lawrason: 5 grandchildren - Rede (Monica) Eder, Damon (Jeanette) Eder, Carrie (Mario) Belem, Daniel Lawrason & Joshua Berry; and 4 great grandchildren and many friends.

     Helen loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, and organist. She enjoyed flowers and music, especially Christian hymns.

     A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.  Services will conclude at the Chapel.

     A graveside service will be held at the Wallowa Cemetery in Wallowa, Oregon at a later date.
