Hollie M. (Krenz) Swanson

     Hollie M. Swanson of Wendell passed away at her home on July 7, 2026.

     Hollie was born in Jerome, Idaho on December 12, 1940 to Sylvester (Bud) and Rhoda Krenz. She was the 3rd of five girls, Shirley Jackson, Geraldine (Jeri) Draper, Jackie Bingham and Pamela Krenz. 

     Dean and Hollie met in 1958 while Hollie was working as a car hop. They later married in 1960 and resided in Castleford (Roseworth) and later where they farmed. They had 3 children, Lisa, Mitchell and Andrew. Later, they moved to Wendell where they resided until her passing. 

     Hollie worked numerous jobs at Northside Farms, Clear Springs fish hatchery and The Wendell Manor as head housekeeper where she retired. She enjoyed hunting and fishing with Dean. She lost her husband in July 2012 after a long illness. Hollie's greatest joy was her family, especially being a grandmother and always looking forward to the summer months when Katie would come from Boise to stay with her.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Shirley, Pam and Jeri. Her son Mitchell and her husband Dean. 

     She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Henslee of Wendell, Andrew (Penny) Swanson of Boise and her granddaughter, Katie of Boise.

     No services are scheduled at this time.

     Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Wendell Chapel.
