Hugo Arevalo Carranza

     Hugo Arevalo Carranza, 57 a resident of Gooding, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Twin Falls.

     Hugo was born on August 8, 1968 in Villa Jimenez, Mexico, the son of Jose Arevalo and Geneveva Carranza. 

     He married Claudia Franco in January 2003.  They had two children – Christopher and Ximena.  Hugo and Claudia were later divorced.

     Hugo is survived by: his mother – Genoveva Carranza Reyes of Mexico; his son – Christopher Arevalo of Gooding; his daughter – Ximena Arevalo of Gooding; the children’s mother – Claudia Franco of Gooding; and numerous family members in the States and in Mexico.

     He was preceded in death by his father – Jose Arevalo Aguirre.

     A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 4:00 pm at Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.

     Cremation arrangements will follow with placement of his urn with his father who is buried in Mexico.
