James Alley

     James “Jim” R. Alley, 84 years old, a resident of Gooding, Idaho, died September 10, 2021, at Stonebridge Assisted Living in Wendell, Idaho.

     Jim was born on December 27, 1936 in Deer Lodge, Montana, the son of Roy H. Alley and Naomi Agnes Moscrip Alley.

     He was raised and educated in Nampa, Idaho, graduating in 1955 from Nampa Sr. High School.  He then went on to the College of Idaho for two years before joining his father working at the family business, Troy Laundry which later became Nampa Continental Laundry and Dry Cleaning.  When the laundry was burned down, he went on to try several different occupations.  He went into the medical field and enjoyed working for a local Doctor until he retired.

     He married Donna Vail on February 3,1958 in Nampa, Idaho.  There were 2 children born of this union, and the couple divorced in 1976.  Jim married twice more and was a widower at his passing.

     Jim loved the outdoors - water/snow skiing, hiking and camping were enjoyed when he was younger, but he always loved hunting and fishing with his children.

     He is survived by his children: daughter - Shannon, (her husband William) of Boise, Idaho; and son - Timothy (his wife Kathy) of Gooding, Idaho; and his grandchildren - Mary, David, and Amanda Zuercher and Christopher Rubio.

     Preceded in death by his parents and by a granddaughter - Chelsi Burley.

     At his request there will be no services, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
