John Anthony Berks Sr.

               John Berks, 80, of Buhl, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on July 15, 2024. He was born on April 17, 1944 to Joseph and Ina Berks in Twin Falls, Idaho.

               John left us unexpectedly on July 15, 2024 in Fairfield, Idaho, at Couch Summit, doing what he loved, being in the mountains and turning wood to make something for anyone.

               John started working early in life at Amalgamated Sugar Factory in Twin Falls, Idaho, as a mechanic. He retired at very early age.

               John married Wanda, to this marriage a daughter was born, Wendy Mae Berks, who passed away in 1972. They later divorced.

               John married Geneva, to this marriage a son was born, John Heck. They later divorced.

               John Married Rose, to this marriage two children were born, John Anthony Berks Jr. and Marsha Danyal Berks. He also adopted William Berks and James “Jimmy” Berks. They later divorced.

               John married Wanda who had 3 daughters, Arleta, Alesia, Lorrena. They later divorced.

               John found he had another daughter, Kathy Greene, in 2019 with Patricia Partridge.

               John is survived by 7 children, 3 stepchildren, 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren with one on the way.

               John is preceded in death by his parents-Joseph and Ina Berks; 1 sister-Katherine Coates; and a great grandson- Nathaniel Fritz.

               We will all miss you. We love you Dad.

               A memorial BBQ with be held, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 2pm at the Twin Falls Park. Please bring your favorite dish and chairs. If you have any questions please reach out to Marsha at (208) 358- 3273.

              Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service - Gooding Chapel.
