John Russell LeMoyne II, a resident of Hagerman, Idaho, passed away June 11, 2024, at the age of 72, at St. Luke’s Medical Center Twin Falls, Idaho.
Russell was born June 2, 1952 in Gooding, Idaho to John and Margaret “Peggy” LeMoyne. Russell attended school in Hagerman K through 12, where he graduated from Hagerman High in 1970. While in school he played basketball, football, and track. After high school, he attended CSI, where he played basketball. They advanced to N.J.C.A.A. Nationals in Hutchinson, Kansas the two years he played.
After college he became a white water guide on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River for many years. Russell married Sandra Gossi in 1978 in Lamoille, Nevada. In 1980 Tanner was born. Russell enjoyed many sports: water skiing, snow skiing , motorcycle riding, baseball. Also, helping the neighbors and friends brand calves every spring, hunting, fishing trips, and golf. He would drop everything so he didn’t miss Wednesday golf. He enjoyed roping with all his friends and would meet new ones wherever he was at. Russell never knew a stranger. He was always ready to head to Arizona for a few weeks in the winter to rope, and has met many new friends there from all over. He enjoyed watching Tanner play sports, but truly enjoyed watching the grandkids excel at sports.
Russell will be deeply missed by his family.
Russell is survived by his wife Sandra, Son Tanner (Kali) LeMoyne, daughter Brandi, father John LeMoyne, sister Karol LeMoyne. Grandkids Karsen LeMoyne, Tanli LeMoyne
He is preceded in death by his mother Peggy LeMoyne, Grandfather and Grandmother LeMoyne, Grandmother Edna Radamacher.
A Celebration of Life will be held August 3, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:00 at “Russell’s Arena” LeMoyne Residence 18495 Hwy 30 Hagerman, Idaho.
Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service - Gooding Chapel.
