Johnny Kodesh Obituary

     Johnny Bobby Ray Kodesh, 83, a resident of Wendell, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at his home in Wendell.

     Bob was born in Richfield, Idaho on the 2nd of January, 1939, to James and Emma Kodesh. Bob was the youngest of three brothers and seven sisters, all of whom he's now reunited with.

     Bob attended Richfield Elementary School and subsequently Shoshone High School at which time, he would meet his future beloved wife. Following High School, Bob pursued many career paths from Trucking, to all facets of the Farming Industry. Bob would later settle in Washington and pursue a career with Boeing Aviation. Bob's career at Boeing consisted of the assembly of some today's most premier commercial aircraft to include, the  world's largest twin-jet commercial aircraft, the Boeing 777.  In 1994, following almost three decades of service with Boeing, Bob retired and would later resettle to Wendell, Idaho with his wife and High School sweetheart Iona. 

     During his retirement Bob pursued his passions, he loved fishing, bowling with family and friends, growing and tending to his garden, and no one can ever forget, Bob's wine making abilities. Bob's most enjoyable adventures during retirement, was driving around the country during bowling tournaments, with the people he loved and enjoyed the most. Many stories and memories have been shared of the fun times and situations they all got themselves into. A simple man and not of many words, Bob's laugh and sense of humor are memories amongst the family that will last a lifetime.  

     Bob is survived by: his wife - Iona Kodesh; stepchildren, Joe and Missy Matheney, Julie and Mike Keller, Sherri and Richard Miller, Kimberly Matheney; eighteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.

     A graveside service will be held at Richfield Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, 21 January 2022.

     Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service - Shoshone Chapel

 

 

 

The family requests  that any donations in lieu of flowers be made to the
