June 28, 1939 ~ April 10, 2025 (age 85) 85 Years Old

Jolene Northcott Obituary

     Jimmie Jolene Northcott, 85, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025 in her home in Gooding, surrounded by loved ones, after a life richly lived in service and kindness.

     Joleen was born in Hailey in The Rock House (which is now a beauty salon) on River Street on June 28, 1939.

     She married her high school sweetheart - Tom Northcott on September 21, 1957 they were married 67 years. They lived in Hailey and raised their family until 2002 when they moved to Gooding to start a new chapter in her life and built a house close by the golf course so they could golf as often as they liked.

     Jolene's passion was her family, her church, piano, repairing vintage sewing machines and sewing. She taught piano lessons in Hailey, played on Sundays at church for the children and continued to play throughout her life, even in her final days she was trying to give lessons to anybody who wanted them. She also loved photography and had her own dark room.

     She never lost her sense of humor, her beautiful smile and her kind heart. She will truly be missed!

     Jolene is survived by: her sisters - Mary May Potter, Elizabeth Stuhlberg and Debbie (Moj) Broadie; her son - Jack (Tina) Northcott; three grandchildren - Tom (Nichole) Geils, Teesha (Jason) Westervelt and Darby Dane Northcott McKenzie; and her great grandchildren - Thomas Northcott, Bennett Westervelt, Sterling Westervelt and Tinley Northcott.

     She was preceded in death by: her mother - Elizabeth Parker Hendry and father - James Henery Neyman; a baby sister and a baby brother; her husband - Thomas Edward Northcott Jr.; son - TJ Northcott; daughter - Dustin Northcott; grandson - Derek Dean Northcott McKenzie.

     A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Gooding. A viewing will be held at the church from 10:00 am until service time.

     Burial with dedication of the grave will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery with a lunch to be served immediately after at the LDS Church.
