Joyce Angela Childers - Fletcher

     On August 1st, 2025 at 04:27 in the morning, heaven received a beautiful angel, Joyce Angela Childers. She was surrounded by family and friends as she took her last breath. She was a loving free-spirited woman who had a love for her Native American Culture along with her buffalos. 

     Joyce, 65 years old, was born on October 30, 1959 in New Port, New York. She enjoyed outdoor activities and loved being on the back of a bike. In her younger days she lived on a farm and raised cows.

     She was a mother of two kids - Amanda Meza and Matthew Joy. She was a grandmother to four lovely grandchildren - Maria Villagrana, Niome Tapia, Diana Dedicke, and Kody Dedicke. Later on, she became a great grandmother to eight amazing grandchildren - Emilio, Belen, Kaylie, Isabella, Lorenzo, Jocelyn, Lily, and Oraya.

     She was married to Evan Fletcher. They met at a bar and went on a crazy bike ride and that’s when they fell in love with each other.

     She had a big heart and would always light everybody’s day. She had a career of being a house keeper and at times would clean not because it was her job, though because she wanted to help others. There was never a dull moment with her. She would dance at random times anywhere she was at. She had a crazy side of her and didn’t care who was watching as long as she was having fun. 

   There’s never enough time family has with each other, though the memories that were created will never be forgotten. Joyce Childers was loved by many. Rest in peace beautiful women and may your life continue in a different life. 

     A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 5:00 pm at the Malad Gorge State Park 2314 South Ritchie Road.

     Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
