Ken Haught, 76, of Shoshone, Idaho passed away peacefully at home on January 24, 2025.
He was born on October 7, 1948 in Robinson, Illinois to William Milo Clinton Haught & Beulah Blakely. Ken moved to Twin Falls, Idaho when he was 11. He graduated from Twin Falls High School and then obtained his Associates degree through the College of Southern Idaho.
Ken met the love of his life, Alice Watts in 1975; they married on December 18, 1976 in her hometown Keysville, VA. Together they had three kids in Shoshone where they ventured from farm life to living in town.
Ken had a passion for being involved in his community, serving on the City Council and as Mayor. He also served on the Planning & Zoning Board, Fair Board, Shoshone Education Foundation and the Lincoln County Historical Society. Ken enjoyed spending most of his time with his family, especially his wife on their many road trips they were able to take across the United States to visit family. Most recently he found a passion with volunteering at the Lincoln County Historical Society and working at the museum. Ken enjoyed working at the museum and visiting with different people that would stop by. He never knew a stranger.
Ken is survived by his wife - Alice Watts Haught; his children - Amanda (JD) Marks, Emily Daubner, and Jeremy Haught; five grandchildren - Colton Marks, Wyatt (Jordan) Tibbitts, Taylor Tibbitts, Bly (Hanna) Daubner, and Kami Daubner; two great grandchildren; brothers - Bill (Barbara) Haught, Rondal (Rita) Lang and Kevin Lang; his sister - Kathryn (Jay) Goemmer; and brother and sister-in-laws - John Watts, Gerry (Sue) Watts, Betty Watts, Lois Fulks, Judy (Kenny) Colley, Larry (Patricia) Watts; and several nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his infant daughter - Martha Haught; his parents; and his brother - Dick (Carolyn) Haught.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Demaray Funeral Service - Shoshone Chapel.
Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service - Shoshone Chapel.
