Kliss K Carter Choules, age 93 - almost 94, passed away on January 2, 2024 at her home in Hagerman, Idaho.
Kliss was born to Jesse and Sadie Carter in Preston, Idaho on January 10, 1930. She was the sixth child of seven and loved her childhood. She graduated from Preston, Idaho in 1948 and maintained many of those relationships throughout her life.
She married Charles Willard “Bill” Choules on July 27, 1950 in the Logan, Utah Temple.
They moved to Moscow, Idaho where Bill was attending college. Bill and Kliss moved to Hagerman in 1953 where Bill taught Ag. Kliss was a wonderful homemaker and loved raising her family of four children. She showed her love by sewing, canning, and cooking for them.
She worked for 29 years as the secretary at the Hagerman High School and retired in 1995. She served with many good people in her various callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved having people in her home and could often be found playing Rummikub with them.
She is survived by her children - Kristi Wagoner of La Grande; Katie Owsley of Hagerman; Ted (Susie) Choules and Todd (Sheree) Choules both of Boise. She is loved by 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 3 great-great, grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by all of her immediate family, two grandchildren and many friends. We know many joyous reunions occurred and look forward to seeing her again.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 12:00 noon at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hagerman.
Burial will follow at the Hagerman Cemetery.
A viewing will be held on Monday from 11:00 am until 11:45 am at the church.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
