It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lindsey Jo Calcagni, a loving mother, a remarkable woman, a caring friend, and a dedicated registered nurse. Lindsey passed away on November 29, 2023. She died unexpectedly and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.
Lindsey’s nurturing spirit, unwavering support, and boundless love will forever live on. In addition to Lindsey’s professional accomplishments, she was known for her warm and caring personality. She had a generous heart, and always lent a helping hand to those in need. Her compassion touched the lives of many.
Lindsey was born on April 13, 1982. She was a bundle of joy from the very beginning and was doted on by two older brothers, Kirby Clyde Gough and Tyler Richard Fernalld. She attended school in Bliss. After high school, Lindsey went on to pursue a degree in nursing at Walla Walla Community College where she obtained her Registered Nurse Degree.
Being a mom was one of the most important parts of Lindsey’s life and a role that gave her much pride and joy. Richard Kross Calcagni was born December 21, 2002 and Antonio Joseph Calcagni on November 7, 2004 and she gained a bonus son, Garrett Butch Williams a bit later.
Her love for cooking, canning, and taking care of her boys brought her inner peace and blissfulness. She passed on her delight and skills in the kitchen cooking to her Joey and her love for the great outdoors to Kross.
One of her favorite times of the year was the annual family reunion at Pine, Idaho. Lindsey and her boys would travel packed to the gills, only leaving enough space for them and a dog or two. It was a marvel to behold how much camping equipment could (and would) explode out of one Subaru.
She is preceded in death by her beloved “Grams” Wilma V. Showers who greeted her with a hug and a peck and probably with a swift kick for joining her way too soon.
She is survived by: three sons: Kross Calcagni ( Tynisha) of Walla Walla, Washington, Joey Calcagni of Las Vegas, Nevada and Garrett Williams (Sydnee) of Spokane, Washington; two grandkids: Jackson Williams and Allison Jo Williams of Spokane; her parents: Cindy and Jim Lohmann of Jerome and Kevin and Marsha Fernalld of Goldendale; her siblings: Kirby (Jess) Gough of Twin Falls, Tyler Fernalld of Pendleton, Mary(Chris) Green- Zwemke of Sherwood, Tylee (Tom) Clark of LaGrande, Kutter (Cortney) Fernalld of Perryville, Kage (Megan) Fernalld of Sikeston; and the many children, siblings and family members she collected throughout life.
Lindsey’s memory will be forever cherished and her spirit will continue to bring joy and light to each life she touched.
