Lisa Grissom

     Our beloved Lisa Marie Grissom was called home to our Lord on June 10, 2021at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Twin Falls.

     Lisa was born October 28, 1962 in Gooding, Idaho to Virgil and Betty Jensen. She attended Gooding High School and after graduating became a student at Mr. Juan’s School of Cosmetology, where she earned her cosmetology license.  After meeting Dean Grissom, they welcomed their first child, Megan, in April of 1986 and married three years later on June 24, 1989.  In July of 1994 they welcomed their second daughter, Marisa.  Lisa and Dean later divorced but stayed committed to each other until her passing.

     Lisa put her talents to work opening her own salon, Shear Excellence, in Shoshone, Idaho. She loved her clients like family and never could say no when her daughters wanted to try a crazy new hair color. She was a gifted beautician that put her heart into work.

     In her free time Lisa loved camping, gardening and crafting and always had the most beautiful flower beds and flourishing gardens. She spent hours at a time tending to her plants and her sunflowers could be seen growing far above the fence line. Her daughters will always remember sun brewed tea and watching for humming birds as they soaked in the summer sun.

     Lisa was truly loved and will never know the magnitude of her beauty. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

     Love ones that cleared the path for Lisa are her father - Virgil Jensen; Brother - Doug Jensen; and Mother - Betty Lou Wheeler.

     She leaves to cherish her memory: Dean Grissom; Daughter - Megan (Josh) Hettenbach, Daughter - Marisa Garcia; Grandchildren - Amara Dains, Hadrea Dains, Surf Hettenbach, Isaiah Garcia, Swayzee Hettenbach and Meilani Garcia; Sister - Nancy (Phil) Williams, Sister - Barbara (Joe) Jensen; Nephew - Jeff Huber and Niece - Becky Huber.

     A family graveside inurnment will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding.

     Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
