Michael "Bret" Vos

     Michael Bret Vos, loving husband, father, cherished son, and brother passed away peacefully but unexpectedly at home on May 19, 2025.

     Known to family and friends as Bret, he was born on December 22, 1982 in Jerome, Idaho to parents Michael and Susan Vos. 

     A resident of Bliss, Idaho, Bret was a true cowboy. He loved ranching and everything that came with that way of life. If there was a branding within 100 miles he was there. Ranching, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, if it was outdoors, he did it. He adored his family, and had big dreams for the future.

     We have peace knowing he is in Heaven with his horses that passed before him, and his best dogs Phred and Bobo. Bret is either huntin’, ropin’, or working with the most beautiful view.

     Survived by his wife - Allison, and children - Brody and Brielle; his parents - Mike and Sue Vos; his sisters - Stephanie Malson (Jared) and Amanda West (Whitt); and nieces - Mya and Eva Malson. 

     A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 10:30 am at the New Life Community Church at 800 W. Main St. in Wendell, with a luncheon to follow.

     The family request that those in attendance wear something of blue.

     Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service - Gooding Chapel.

In lieu of flowers we are asking that donations be made to

Brielle’s college fund, Hagerman Booster Club, or Gooding County 4-H Leaders Council.

We will be supporting FFA programs, and sponsoring buckle awards for the Gooding County Fair.
