Miren Maitena (Arrate) Jauregui

     Miren Maitena Jauregui, 87, a resident of Twin Falls, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 at her home in Twin Falls.

     Miren Maitena Arrate was born on January 14, 1934, in Amoroto, Vizcaya, Spain to Isidiro Arrate and Katalina Santamaria.  Her siblings included – Jose Antonio, Julian, Juanita, Santa and Beneita.

     She was raised and educated in Amoroto, Spain.

     She married Dionisio Jauregui on October 1, 1960 in Amoroto, Spain.

     She is survived by: two daughters - Miren “Mary Ann” (Rick) Harris of Wendell and Conchi “Connie” (Ross) Miller of Twin Falls; four grandchildren, Jessica (Josh), Amanda, Brandon and Jeremy; five great grandchildren - Summer, Dallin, Winter, Annalise and Andie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     Miren was preceded in death by her husband – Dionisio Jauregui on May 29, 2021.    

     A viewing will be held on Thursday, Janaury 6, 2022 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.

     A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Gooding Basque Center.  Services will conclude at the Basque Center.

     Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
