Patsy Ruth Shelton

 Patsy Ruth Shelton, 87, a resident of Shoshone, Idaho, passed away on February 4, 2025 at St. Luke's in Twin Falls, Idaho.

 Patsy Ruth (Sage) Shelton was born July 10, 1937 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Albert Sage and Ora Mae (Thompson) Sage. She moved with her parents to Shafter, California in 1941 where she was raised and educated.

   In 1957 she married the love of her life, William Shelton Jr. A year later they had their first of three children. In her younger years bowling was a hobby of hers, in later years most of her time was spent hosting family gatherings, running a successful race car engine business with her husband “Shelton Engines”, and attending race car events which three of her grandsons were often contenders.

   It should be noted that she won grandmother of the year for 47 consecutive years.

   She is survived by her daughter – Tina Shelton; sister – Alberta Sage (Gordon Gage); brothers – Donny and Robert Sage; seven grandchildren – William, Ryan, Shawn, Brandon and Rayan Shelton, Ricky and Jen Maes; six great grandchildren – Richard Maes, Hayden Shelton, Lyric and Jaimie and three that she never got to meet; and one great, great, grandson – “Baby Maes” due in April.

   She is preceded in death by her husband – William Shelton Jr.; sons – Mike and Rick; grandson -Robert; brothers - Al and Bobby, and both parents.  

   Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service - Shoshone Chapel.
