Paul Taylor Obituary

     Paul Dale Taylor, 85, of Wendell, Idaho, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, surrounded by family.

     He was born on May 22, 1940, in Caldwell, Idaho, to Paul D. Taylor of Indiana and Bernice Boatman of Idaho.

     Paul proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. After his military service, he began a long and dedicated career in transportation, driving over-the-road heavy trucks for 50 years -32 of those years with Werner Enterprises. His work ethic, dependability, and commitment to his profession were unmatched.

     Family was always at the heart of Paul’s life. He is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie; three sons - Gary, Paul Jr., and Brandon; one daughter - Teresa; sixteen grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

     Paul is also survived by his brothers Don, Greg, Ralph, and Carl, and sisters Madelyn, Marie, Edie, and Doris.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather Milo McIntoffer, brothers Robert, Charles, and Stanley, and his beloved granddaughter Mackie.

     Paul will be remembered for his quiet strength, his dedication to those he loved, and the many miles he traveled both on the road and in life.

     A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 10:00 am at the Snake River Canyon National Cemetery in Buhl.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: 

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
