Pauline “Polly” Deloris Ross, 93, a resident of Richfield, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024 at De Sano Place Assisted Care in Jerome.
Pauline “Polly” Deloris Bitterli was born April 23, 1931 to Edwin and Bessie Herendeen Bitterli in Wendell, Idaho. She attended school until 8th grade at West Point and graduated from Wendell High School in 1949.
Pauline married Glen Ross on June 15, 1949. They lived all their married life in Richfield. They farmed and had Fairview Egg Farm until their retirement in 1992. They had two sons, Arnold and David.
She belonged to the United Methodist Church and was on the church board for many years and was Chair of the Advisory Board. She also was a Board Member of the Lincoln County Senior Citizen; worked in PTA and PTO; and belonged to the Grange and Burmah Clubs.
She enjoyed a large floral and vegetable garden. She made many, many dinner rolls for fund raisers and funeral dinners. Polly was very community minded. She was always there to help others and never met a stranger.
She is survived by: her son – Arnold Ross, David (Crystal) Ross; her grandchildren – Heather Ross, Barbie (Reese) Jolley, Weston (Liliana) Ross and Hannah Ross; and three great grandchildren – Scarlett, Keyan, Andre and Ileaha.
She was preceded in death by: her husband – Glen; and grandson – Michael Ross.
A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Richfield Cemetery in Richfield.
Cremation arrangements and funeral services are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Shoshone Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family recommends memorial contributions be made in Polly’s name to: The Richfield Senior Citizens Center; or the Richfield Bible Church.
