Ray Eugene Thompson died on Thursday morning, December 23, 2021, down the road from his family farm in Bliss, Idaho.
Ray was born in Gooding, Idaho on November 9, 1966 to Elden Amos Thompson and Elizabeth Ann Faircloth. Growing up, Ray spent his winters in Everett, Washington with his mother and summers in Bliss, Idaho with his father. He graduated from high school in Everett while completing a certificate program in welding.
On January 17, 1987, Ray married Tracy Ann Kemp. Together they had four children who they raised in Boise and Wendell, Idaho. Ray later married Susie Robertson on August 12, 2017 in Hagerman, Idaho. The pair moved into his father’s former ranch house in Bliss where he spent much of his time gardening, farming and woodworking. When Ray was not working, he could be found fishing, hunting, boating, and spending valued time with friends and family.
Ray is survived by his wife - Susie; his children - Bryce (Emme), Adam (Zac), Cameron (Jenna), Tyler (Chandler), Jeremy (Amanda), Erin (Kayleb), Jace, Elaina; brothers - Roy (Sharon), Steve (Chris), Ted (Sheila); sister - Donnetta, and grandchildren - Madison, Dylan, Brinlee, Jason, Seager and Silas.
He is preceded in death by his father - Elden Thompson; mother - Elizabeth Faircloth; stepmother - Mayvis Thompson; grandfather - W.H. Faircloth and grandmother - Annetta Faircloth.
Funeral service will be held Friday, December 31, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Bliss High School gymnasium with remains laid to rest at the Clover Creek Cemetery at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service - Gooding Chapel.
