Rene Jessie White

Rene Jessie White was born September 2, 1950 in Grande Junction, Colorado to Bobby Joe White and Ada Louise White. The older of her and her sister Glenda "Gail" White. Graduated from Grande Junction High in 1968. 

She then married Leroy Meador in the early 1970's and spent time in Aspen, Colorado, and divorcing after some years. She had one son, Jesse, born also in Grande Junction in 1982. 

She spent years in Telluride and western Colorado working doing stage design at festivals, window designs for local businesses and as a hostess and waitress at restaurants mostly. 

She moved to Bayview, Idaho, and sold cars in Sandpoint. She then moved to Hailey/Bellevue to be closer to her son Jesse. She ended up following her son to Carey, where she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was probably one of the happiest times of her life. She really loved the town and people, and said "It truly felt like home" after moving around so much in her life.  

The last few years of her life were spent in Gooding, at Bennett Hills Nursing Home, where she passed peacefully from complications due to Parkinsons on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 75 years old.  

 She was a daughter, sister, awesome single mother, loving grandmother and artisan. She was truly an outgoing, sociable person, who was generous with her time, crafts, and always tried to make people feel better with her gifts. She will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her son, Jessie (Naomi) of Richfield, ID.  She is preceded in death by her parents and Sister Gail.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 5:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Crist of Latter-day Saints in Carey, Idaho.
