Robert Eugene Jauregui

     Robert Eugene Jauregui, 78, of Dietrich, Idaho, passed away on July 17, 2025.

     He was born on September 21, 1946, in Gooding, Idaho to Martin and Charlotte Jauregui. Robert proudly served 2 years in the U.S. Army beginning in 1968, working as a mechanic.

     After leaving the army Robert attended school at University of Idaho and Treasure Valley Community College where he studied horticulture. Upon returning to Dietrich, he worked various truck driving jobs that he thoroughly enjoyed.

     In 1982 he married the mother of his children and in 1988, he took over the Jauregui family dairy farm.

     Robert loved animals, especially horses. He was a member of the Riding Red Skins riding club. He was also fond of cats (even though he’d never admit it), and he kept many cat bellies full around Dietrich.

     Robert was a member of Saint Peter’s Catholic Church and also enjoyed camping. 

     Robert was a quiet but dependable friend and will be dearly missed. 

     He was preceded in death by his father, Martin Jauregui (2005), and his mother, Charlotte Jauregui (2010). He is survived by his sisters, Janice (Bruce) Helsley and Carol (Don) Roberts; his children, Jack (Denise) Adams, Jose (Lisa) Jauregui, and Sandy (Cody) Prescott; and seven grandchildren.

     A celebration of life for Robert will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 11:00 am at Demaray Funeral Service – Shoshone Chapel.  Inurnment will follow at the Shoshone Cemetery.

     Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Shoshone Chapel.
