Rose Bingman Obituary

Rose “Rosie” Marie (Owsley) Bingman, 87, a beloved resident of Hagerman, Idaho, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Stonebridge Assisted Living in Hagerman, with family by her side.

Rose was born on December 7, 1938, in Hagerman, Idaho, to Alvin and Neva Owsley. She was raised and educated in Hagerman, Idaho, and Carey, Idaho where she spent her childhood surrounded by family and experiences that helped shape the person she was and the many lives she touched.

Rose met her husband of 65 years, Roy “Tiny” Bingman, in Twin Falls, Idaho, and they were married on July 9, 1957, in Elko, Nevada. Rose and Tiny’s love was reflected in the spirit of the song “Tiny Bubbles,” capturing the joy, warmth, and simple happiness they found in one another.

Together, they shared a lifetime of adventure, devotion, and enduring love. Tiny and Rose raised three children, Truenia, Becky, and Jeffery "J.D." Their journey took them from the Navajo Indian Reservation in Arizona, where they lived in Monument Valley during mining operations, to Crystal Mountain, Washington, and later to Big Sky, Montana.

During their years at the ski resorts, Tiny served as Head of Maintenance and Snow Removal, helping keep the mountains operating through harsh winters, while Rose worked as a fine dining waitress, where her warmth and friendly personality made guests feel at home. Together, they built not only careers but lifelong friendships and cherished memories before settling in Hagerman in 1996.

Rose will be remembered for her strength, dignity, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She had a heart full of love and a gift for making everyone feel welcome, whether a lifelong friend or someone she had just met. She was always ready to lend a helping hand and found joy in caring for others.

Rose shared a special bond with animals and loved crafting rugs, quilts, doilies, and other handmade treasures. She enjoyed participating in local craft sales, volunteering at the annual Halloween Cake Walk, and spending time with friends during Bonko games.

She delighted in yard sales, collecting antique dishes and glassware, tending her flowers and garden, and browsing the Dollar Store. In recent years, she especially enjoyed the Antique Ezel re-sale boutique in Buhl, where she combined her love of antiques with the friendships she made. She also stayed closely connected with family and friends through Facebook, which brought her great joy each day.

Above all, Rose's kindness, generosity, and loving heart will be remembered by all who knew her.

Rose was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her kindness, resilience, wisdom, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Truenia G. Ryan of Dillon, Montana, Becky D. Bingman of Kimberly, Idaho and Jeffery D. (Beth) Bingman of Big Sky, Montana; four grandchildren, Melainya, Courtney (Copper), Travis, and Breanne; three great-grandchildren, Izzi, Dilan, and Vanessa; one great-great-granddaughter, Braelyn; and many nieces and nephews.

Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy “Tiny” Bingman; her parents, Alvin Owsley and Neva Owsley; her brothers, LeRoy “Bud” Owsley and Ray “Buster” Owsley; and many other cherished friends and family members.

A funeral service celebrating Rose’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Demaray Funeral Service - Gooding Chapel.

A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the chapel.
