Sandra Huntley Obituary

Sandra Joann Huntley, 84, of Hagerman, Idaho, formerly of Western Massachusetts and Maine, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026.

Sandra was born on May 26, 1941, in Northampton, Massachusetts, to Ester Sena-Sanders and Joseph Sena. She was the oldest of four children. She is survived by her brothers, Tim Sena (Kathy) and Paul Sena (Judy), and was preceded in death by her sister, Cynthia Sena Tebo.

Sandra was previously married to Frank Stasz Jr., and from that union she was blessed with three children: Dan Stasz (Jennifer Ferree), Mark Stasz (Jennifer), and Sharrie Zafft (Richard).

Throughout her life, Sandra had a deep love for creativity and working with her hands. She enjoyed many hobbies including weaving, stained glass, knitting, sewing, quilting, gardening, and caring for her home. These passions reflected her creativity, and appreciation for beauty, which she shared generously with her family.

Sandra married the love of her life, Almer “Bud” Huntley, Jr., on November 22, 1986. Together, they purchased property and remodeled several homes, working side by side. In 2007, they purchased their final home, where they spent the remainder of their years creating a warm, welcoming place filled with family memories.

Sandra is survived by her three children and four stepchildren: Deborah Huntley Allen (David Meath), David Huntley (Susan), Kathryn Whitney (Scott), and Elizabeth Huntley Field (Bruce).

She leaves behind a cherished legacy of grandchildren: Maximo Zafft, Tatiana Zafft, Mackenzie Stasz, Conor Stasz, Jayven Mavencamp Stasz, Abigail Mavencamp, Cayden Mavencamp, Jillian Malo, Halina Lyons, Todd Whitney, Christopher Whitney, Jameson Huntley, and Graeme Huntley, as well as seven great-grandchildren.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Cynthia Sena Tebo; her stepson, Ned Huntley; and her beloved husband, Almer Huntley.

In honor of Sandra’s wishes, no services will be held. Her children will gather in her kitchen, a place dear to her heart, to share a toast in her memory.

Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
