He met his wife, Lila Marie Martindale, in Burley, Idaho. Seymour married Lila on July 3, 1953, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Rupert, Idaho. Seymour had many Jobs including being a Farmer, Milk can Hauler for Kraft and worked at some local Fish Hatcheries until he retired. Dad also worked part time at a landfill in his 70's, to pass time where he made several friends.
Lila and Seymour had six children of their own - Mickey, Keri, Danny, Joyce, Jana and Kelly. They helped in raising Christopher Scott Koch, Jesse McKean and Dustin McKean.
During dad’s lifetime, he stressed to his children, "It's all about family." Where he loved Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve dinners. It was especially important to Mom and Dad to have family over every Sunday for dinner.
Mom and Dad made sure that family was a big part of our lives. Mom and Dad took us on trips to Yellowstone and every year we would have a family reunion/ camping trip in North Sawtooth's, where all of us would meet and occupy a campground and have the time of our lives. We always had "terms of endearment" moments such as "Tootle Loo, my Buckaroo" "See you later Alligator", "After a while Crocodile" and he gave all of us kids our very own nicknames.
Seymour is survived by three sons - Keri (Terrie) Koch of Gooding, Danny (Janice) Koch of Wendell and Kelly Koch, of Wendell; two daughters - Joyce McKean of Jerome and Jana (Olin) Mink of Wendell; and he was the last of his siblings and parents.
