Shirley Faye Covey

Shirley Faye Covey, 85, a resident of Kimberly and formerly of Gooding, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2021 at her home in Kimberly.

Born February 1, 1936 to James L. and M. Faye Blake in Akron, CO. She was the third of eleven children, seven sisters and three brothers. She attended country schools as her parents were farmers living twenty miles from town. Shirley married Ernie Covey and was the mother of Dale and Clarence (deceased).

Ernie, Shirley, and family moves to Idaho in the late 1950’s. They spent many years in Buhl and some in Gooding.

Shirley was well known for her yard flowers and her good meals.

Her grandchildren are Cole, Sara, and Brandon. There are two great grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.

A private family burial will take place at the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service - Gooding Chapel.
