Steven Richard Cantrell

     Steven Richard Butts Cantrell, 53, a resident of Gooding, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at his home in Gooding.

     Steven was born on February 1, 1973 in El Paso, Texas, the son of Richard Butts and Evelyn Irwin.

     He married Angela Schoor Cantrell on July 21, 2018 in St. Anthony, Idaho.

     Steven is survived by: his wife – Angela Schorr; two sons – Steven R. Cantrell and Brandon Nelson; three daughters – Kylie L. Ostrander, Taylor Heffron and Stefanie Taylor; two sisters – Suzie Mansfield and Cori Mead; thirteen grandchildren – Colton Cantrell, Paige Cantrell; Lincoln Cantrell, Adelynn Cantrell, Austyn Taylor, Nolan Taylor, Alice Nelson, Layla Nelson, Yaya Nelson, Layton Heffron, Hagen Heffron, Kynsley Heffron and Arlee Magness.

     He was preceded in death by: his father – Richard Butts; mother – Evelyn Irwin; a grandson – Gavin Cantrell; and his brother – Brian Butts.

     No funeral services are scheduled at this time with cremation arrangements under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
