Thomas Edward Northcott, Jr.

     Thomas Edward Northcott, Jr., 84, a resident of Gooding, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at his home in Gooding.

     Tom was born on August 22, 1939 in Bridgeport, Connecticut.  He moved to Clayton, Idaho in 1951 with his mother, sister and step-dad Jack Winters.  They moved to Bellevue where he went to school.  He met his wife Jolene in high school, they became sweethearts and married in September 1957.  They had three kids – TJ, Jack and Dustin.

     Tom had a successful car dealership in Hailey.  When he retired, they moved to Gooding where they built a house. They built a fish pond which he stocked with fish and let family and friends’ fish there.

     Tom loved to fish and play golf.  He had a golf tournament in Jackpot every year call Snorts.

     Tom is survived by: his wife – Jolene; his sister – Barbara (David) Olson; two children – Jack (Tina) Northcott and Dustin (Darrell McKenzie) Northcott; three grandchildren – Tom (Nichole) Geils, Teesha (Jason) Westervelt and Darby Dane Northcott; four great grandchildren – Thomas Northcott, Bennett Westervelt, Sterling Westervelt and Tenly Northcott.

     He was preceded in death by his son – TJ Northcott; and a grandson - Derek Dean Northcott.

     A viewing will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.

     A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11:00 am at the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding.
