Tim McKnight

     Tim Deloss McKnight, 50, a resident of Shoshone, ID died April 8, 2025 at his home in Shoshone.

     Tim was born on May 12, 1974 in Burley, Idaho, the son of Tim and Debra McKnight.

     Tim was raised and educated in Oakley, ID where he attended Oakley and Minidoka schools. At the age of 18, he joined the army.

     In 1996, he married Wendy (Peterson) in Twin Falls, ID and they were blessed with four children during their union, Kenzie (Kendra) Peterson, Katie (David) Marshall, Zia, and Tim.    

     Tim was a jack of all trades, working in many different occupations from truck driving to construction. He was especially proud to work on the Thunder Springs Project in Ketchum alongside his brother. Tim enjoyed his time at Franklin Building Supply and Gooding Lumber where he got to know and interact with the local community. Starting in 2013 he became a grandfather to 7 grandchildren. He was a proud father and grandfather who never strayed away from saying, “Yup, those are mine.”

     Tim enjoyed the outdoors, going camping, fishing, hunting, and even traveling to Mexico. Tim was a proud man who made friends wherever he went. He was especially proud of his grandchildren who he would play trucks with, chase around the house, and teach them about rock n roll.

     Tim is survived by: two sons - Kenzie (Kendra) Peterson, Tim McKnight; and two daughters - Katie (David) Marshall, and Zia McKnight; his brother - James (Kendall) McKnight; his five sisters - Jody (Tony) Prewitt, Kristi McKnight, Kathleen (Duane) Baker, Jennifer (Lee) Bronson, and Erin Post; and his grandchildren - Ellie Peterson, Justin Marshall, Kyler Marshall, Kynlee Peterson, Waylon Peterson, Kaizley Peterson, and Maeson Marshall.

     He is preceded in death by: his father - Tim McKnight; and his brothers - Billy, Louie, and Sparr.

     A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.

     Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service – Shoshone Chapel.
