Tyrese Moretz Obituary

Tyrese Dezmond Moretz, born on June 11, 2005, in Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away on June 20, 2025, at the age of 20. Residing in Gooding at the time of his passing, Tyrese lived a life full of vibrancy and passion, leaving behind cherished memories for his family and friends. His nickname was Monkey, later in life was known as TaDa by friends and his brother. Tyrese grew up with the nickname “Monkey” because he didn’t sit for long. I’m sure if you were around him for long you would agree.

A graduate of Gooding High School, Tyrese was known for his ability to form deep connections with people from all walks of life. His infectious personality allowed him to make numerous friends, not just locally but also from various parts of the world. Tyrese's love for cars and driving was well known, as he always lived life in the fast lane, embracing the thrill and excitement that came his way.

Tyrese's life was not only defined by his love for adventure but also by his deep connections with those around him. He found the love of his life in Leslie Ramirez, and together they shared countless unforgettable moments. His community involvement was evident through his active participation in events centered around cars, his family, and Leslie.

Tyrese’s first job was working for The Sun Valley Company in Sun Valley Idaho where he followed in his brother’s footsteps. He worked banquets while still being a fulltime student. Tyrese made many friends from other countries and his peers along with his bosses Chloe and Thayne. He has said that he wanted to do something involving wood working and he wanted to be a rapper and a boxer.

Among working for others, he had a thrill like most boys of tearing apart toys, bikes, skateboards and many other things just to see how they were built and then to make them his own. Later in life he came to love doing mechanical tasks to his cars to either improve them or repair the damages done. (was an amazing driver except when others got in his way or if he was tired).

Tyrese was the life of the party; he always wanted to have fun and do things. He was also a listening ear and a best friend.

Known for being very outgoing, thrilling, spontaneous, and courageous, Tyrese was also a self-proclaimed mama's boy and a lover, not a fighter. These qualities endeared him to many and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Tyrese is survived by his loving family, including his Mother - Stacy Moretz; his Father - James Moretz; Brother - Jade Moretz; Sister - Kyliey Moretz; Grandpa  - Jeff Hurst; Grandma - Leah Fixsen; and Great Aunt - Penny Green.  They, along with his extended family and friends, will remember him fondly for his spirited nature and the joy he brought into their lives.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE to honor Tyrese will be held on July 26, 2025, at 2:00pm at the Gooding High School, followed by a last drive to commemorate his love for cars and the open road.

As we say goodbye to Tyrese, we are reminded of the huge footprints he left behind, footprints that will be difficult to fill. We will miss him dearly and continue to love him from now until eternity.

Cremation arrangements are under the care and direction of Demaray Funeral Service - Gooding Chapel.
