Vaya Karen (Crapo) Jensen, 77, a resident of Hagerman, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at her home.
Vaya Karen Crapo was born on August 15, 1944 in Tacoma, Washington, the daughter of Ralph Harmon and Zelda (Anderson) Crapo. She was raised and educated in Pocatello, Idaho.
Vaya married Louis Dare Jensen on August 18, 1967 in Pocatello, their marriage was sealed in the Boise L.D.S. Temple in 1987.
As a teacher Vaya enjoyed teaching kindergarten. Even after her former students graduated, they all remembered and acknowledged her.
She enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and coloring.
Vaya is survived by: her son – Gary Louis (Emily) Jensen of Bliss; grandchildren – Louis, Dean, Dorothy and Angelica Jensen and 28 others; and 20 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband – Louis Dare Jensen on December 3, 2014.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 3:00 pm at the Elmwood Cemetery in Gooding.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Demaray Funeral Service – Gooding Chapel.
A celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hagerman, Idaho.
